UKFast is a firmly established hosting provider with the ability to deliver solutions for small business start ups, right through to large multi-national corporations. The company has developed expertise in multiple technologies over the years – Microsoft, Linux, VMware, Hyper-V and more.
Lawrence Jones, UKFast MD, found himself facing the exciting challenge of sustaining the energy and success of a company that was growing so rapidly – expanding from 10 to 125 employees within its 12 year history. So he turned to none other than serial entrepreneur Richard Branson for advice.
The answer was to look at the skills within the business and to allow individuals within the company to take responsibility for specific divisions, essentially dividing the existing business in two. This strategy has been used by Branson himself to develop his worldwide Virgin brands.
The Enterprise team was born – with specific people from sales, marketing, PR, technical support and account management resources working closely together to deliver a combined vision.
The Enterprise division exists to cater specifically for large organisations or those with complex hosting requirements. The introduction of the Enterprise brand marks a new division of UKFast, and new ways of working.
By creating sub teams within the wider business and bringing these multiple specialism’s together, UKFast is able to concentrate on the SMB market, whilst the Enterprise division concentrates on its core blue chip base.
The new website is more technically focussed, reflecting the nature of the solutions we deliver. The brand has been designed to reflect our professional IT operation and expertise.
We would welcome your thoughts on the Enterprise website – what are your thoughts on this strategy?
